Job Description:
ThePatient Care Tech (PCT) role, under the direct supervision of
the RegisteredNurse, functions in a supportive role. He/she assists
the RN in the care andmonitoring of patients, as assigned, during
an 8- or 12-hour shift working,within the defined scope of practice
of a certified nursing assistant. Must demonstrate a willingness to
takedirection and work as a supportive member of the health care
team, carrying outassigned functions in more than one area during
the shift, as needed.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
Current CPR Certification
Certification in telemetry and arrhythmia recognition
preferred.
Current certification in the state of California as as a nursing
assistant.
Minimum of 6 months experience as a CNA in a clinical setting
preferred.
Current certification as a sitter for 5150 patients or within 60
days of hire.
