  • Hospital in Southern Arizona is looking for RNs to complete a 13 week assignment on their Med Surg/Tele Tower 2 unit. The right candidates will have 3+ years of experience and have an active BLS.
    • Job Requirements
    • 3+ years of experience
    • Active BLS certification
    • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification - AHA or APEX
    • EPIC experience required
    • Travelers must have experience with all drips below (amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, start nitro, insulin)
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts & Scheduling - 6:45-7:15a, charge to make schedule to balance unit needs, will take travelers requests into consideration
      • Weekend Requirement - 4 weekend days per month
      • Holiday Requirement - 3/5 holidays
      • Low Census for full or partial day
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: PCU Cardiac/Intermediate Care - A2
        • # of Beds: 36
        • Nurse: Patient Ratios - 1:4-5 could have some mixed MS and PCU patients, 1:5 for all MS patients
        • Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
        • Charge Nurse - free of assignment, try to avoid giving an assignment
        • PCA-8-12 per person, potentially less
        • RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.)
        • Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips?
        • Floating Requirements - ICU within patient population, and MS floors
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided - Navy Blue
        • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? - 1NEO, 1 clinical ed, 1 day floor
          • Additional Details
          • Need PCU/Tele/Stepdown experience
          • Experience or 'Must have' skills with a cardiac focus
          • Ok first time travelers
          • Prefer experience with TAVR and CABG
