Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/10/2025 Duration: 11 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job ID: T4H - 914 Job Summary: Emergency Room RN position in a high-volume Level 3 trauma ER. Requires proficiency in Epic EMR and recent experience in trauma Level I/II ER. Role involves direct patient care, assessment, triage, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care for up to 200 patients/day across all emergency cases. Triage patients in Quick Look areas using ESI and manage Fast Track beds (6 beds). Administer treatments, medications, and monitor telemetry; collaborate with ICU as needed for critical patients. Perform patient assessments, including vitals, lab draws, and emergency interventions. Manage psych and hold patients in the ER; ensure safety with security support. Utilize telemetry, RT equipment, and assist with imaging transport (CT/X-ray). Follow ER protocols for trauma, STEMI, stroke, and other emergency procedures. Document care accurately in Epic EMR and communicate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff. Float occasionally to Foothills ER as scheduled; self-manage tele readings. Participate in orientation: NEO session, clinical/EPIC day, and floor orientation. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of ER experience at trauma Level I/II within the past 3 years (Level III/CAH not acceptable). Epic EMR proficiency with recent usage. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred. Able to work variable shifts with modified self-scheduling. Must adhere to 100-mile radius, 48-hour guarantee, RTO, and scheduling policies. Experience with telemetry, ICU gtts, fast-track care, and trauma protocols. Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, multidisciplinary environment.
