Job Description Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Yuma, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job ID: T4H - 914 Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse for a 90-bed double-occupancy unit (2 West). This position requires strong clinical judgment, experience in high-acuity hospital settings, and proficiency in Epic EMR. Responsibilities: - Provide care for medical patients including pneumonia, COPD, radiation patients, AKI, and occasional post-op cases (lap chole, appy). - Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6 (days) and 1:6 (nights). - Administer and monitor heparin and lasix gtts (non-titrated). - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Float as needed to Med Surg, stable low acuity in ICU, RDU, and Foothills clinic RDU. - Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR. Requirements: - Active RN license. - Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience, including at least 1 year in Med Surg/Tele specialty. - Recent Trauma Level I or II hospital experience required. - Proficiency in Epic EMR (recent use required). - Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred. - Must comply with 100-mile radius rule. - No 48-hour guarantees, blocked scheduling, or more than 5 days of RTO. Schedule & Shifts: - Shift timings: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM / 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM. - Every other weekend required. - Holiday requirement: 2 of 3 major holidays. - Low census on-call as needed. Support Staff & Resources: - Charge Nurse available each shift (may take assignment if needed). - Patient Care Assistants: 1 PCA per 8–12 patients. - Dedicated monitor techs (RNs not required to read tele). - RT equipment includes Bipap and stable trach management.
