working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Yuma,
Arizona, 85364! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN

Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency
Room License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC
preferred Must-Have: 2 years of ER experience - trauma Level I/II
in the past three years. Epic EMR proficiency required and recently
used. No more than 5 days of RTO. Ratios: 1:5 medical, 1:6 for fast
track. Description: Start dates are not flexible. 100-mile radius
rule applies. No 48-hour guarantees. Trauma Level: Level 3 trauma
with STEMI and Stroke receiving capabilities. Patients will be
shipped out for stroke intervention if required. The unit has 52
beds and 4 trauma bays. On average, the Emergency Room treats
around 200 patients per day. Floating requirements involve a shared
schedule with another facility, typically scheduled ahead of time
with infrequent last-minute floating. The Registered Nurse must
read their own telemetry and also have a monitor tech available.
There are 6 fast track beds in the facility. A quick look triage
area is available with two sections, using an ESI approach. There
is no separate holding area as ER holds are intermixed within the
ER. No seclusion rooms are available for patients in need of
psychiatric care. Security is present in-house 24/7, located right
by the lobby of the emergency department. Common diagnoses include
any and all emergency needs. Common drips are ICU drips for hold
patients, with ICU assistance as needed. Emergency Department
physicians and mid-levels have varied shifts, with pediatric
board-certified professionals on staff during busy periods. There
is no Charge Nurse on each shift; the House Supervisor is available
for assistance as necessary. ED Techs with 2 years or more
experience are on each shift for EKGs, vitals, blood draws, and
splints. In-house respiratory therapy is available 24/7 for ABGs,
nebulizer treatments, ventilation, and CPAP. Dedicated CT and X-ray
services are present within the Emergency Room, and a transport
team is available when necessary, with the RN accompanying critical
patients. Phlebotomy is not provided; ED Techs will perform lab
draws or RNs may draw from IV starts. Varied shift start times are
available: 7, 10, 11, 12, 1, and 3 PM. Modified self-scheduling is
standard. Weekend requirements include 4 weekend shifts per 4-week
block. Holiday requirements involve typically 2 of the 5 holidays,
including eves. Scrub color is navy blue. Two shifts of
unit-specific orientation include one day of clinical training and
one day on the floor. The cancellation policy allows the client to
cancel hours equivalent to the weekly guaranteed hours for the
assignment. Charting System used is Epic. BSN is not required. 5
